WoT EvvA,(formed 2007) were "born" from a desire for Geeza & Heather to "do"
something together again musically. They were in a previous incarnation of
Geeza's called "Geeza & The Pheonix Blues Band" (circa - 2000/2001) where
Heather was mainly doing backing vocals. It's claim to fame then was to
support a (VERY young) budding artist called Joanne Shaw Taylor. In this
NEW line-up, she rightly takes her share of lead vocals. She has guested for a
number of local bands & is a keen member of the local "jamming" scene.
Geeza's (keys & vocal) been 'round the block a little but has done support for
Dr Feelgood, Steve Gibbons, The Blues Band, Paul Lamb & The Kingsnakes
& "Honeyboy" Hickling amongst others. Geeza recently left Cash Machine after
about 5 years with that band. He's excited about new line-up. Paul McDermott
(bass & vocal) does a HUGE amount of work in his local community &
arranges ALL the music for his local functions (both dramatically & in his local
church) Phil Ellis (lead guitar) has been in various local blues bands in
Halesowen/Dudley area & met Geeza through Cash Machine. Last but NOT
least Phil Edwards (drums) again a leading light on the local music scene in
Dudley & he links up brilliantly with Paul (bass) to become the real driving
force for the band. Band members from the picture are (clockwise) Heather
